Governor Hochul recently announced that the Legacy City ACCESS project is now underway in Kingston—backed by $2 million in funding, this initiative is transforming four vacant homes into affordable, move-in ready properties for first-time buyers and households of color.
Community Preservation Corporation highlighted the Kingston City Land Bank as the first organization in New York to close on affordable home sales under the Legacy Cities ACCESS Program—built in partnership with Maeda Construction, the completed homes are set to offer affordable ownership opportunities in the area.
Goldstein Hall also celebrated the milestone, recognizing both the Kingston City Land Bank and Maeda Construction for successfully closing under the Legacy Cities ACCESS Program and rehabilitating four distressed homes into accessible housing for underserved communities.

County of Ulster
Maeda Construction has been selected as Development Partner for redevelopment at 21 Elizabeth Street in Kingston, New York, to construction a highly-replicable prototype of a fully-electric, PHIUS Passive House-certified co-op, utilizing modular construction in Ulster County. We estimate the completion of this project in Summer 2027.
